Come To A Day Of Celebrating Horror Writing, Horror Movies And Horrorifying Traumas
That last one's a joke ;)
Hellooo marvellous Death Is Coming crew!
I am coming to you this morning to big up the forthcoming All Hallow’s Horrorcon taking place in the All Hallow’s DCU Campus Drumcondra on Saturday the 2nd of November from 2pm - 8pm. Tickets are here and all Death Is Coming readers get 30% off ticket price with the promo code DEATHISCOMING.
We have an amazing line up of artists this year coming along to talk about their work.
The day kicks off with a writing workshop: Writing From The Heart (and Guts) helmed by myself and my dear friend, horror/fantasy writer Dave Rudden. We’ll be giving readings, along with tips on how to get your work published and stories about the editors we've traumatised along the way.
Then we have a panel chat How the Sausage Is Made with three incredible artists and horror makers. Film director and screenwriter, Aislinn Clarke (Fréwaka), podcast producer, Liam Geraghty (Petrified) and film producer, Dr. Sarah Cleary (Abigail, Evil Dead Rise) on how they bring our favourite genre to life across diverse mediums such as film, audio and events.
Next up our keynote interview with iconic actor, Olwen Fouéré, the star of among many many things, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) in which she plays original final girl, Sally Hardesty. She’ll talk about playing evil and fighting evil as well as her fascinating five decade career on stage and screen.
Then it’s time to kick back, load up on the popcorn and free snacks for a screening of Nightmare on Elm Street.
It would be so fab to see you there!
