How To Join this Week's Magic Work Hour
A weekly virtual get together to help us show up for our creative work
New to the Magic Writing Hour? Here’s what it is…
Basically it’s a virtual, quiet, hour-long creative session where we all log on, wave hello and then get on with working on our separate projects but with a nice feeling of togetherness. You can write or draw or paint or make jewellery or simply read. The idea is having some accountability about giving our creative work the focus it deserves and helping with motivation. At the end of the hour, we unmute and have a little chat, share how we’re getting on (if you feel like it, no pressure to talk at all!).
Details on how to join are below…
I recommend that if you are working on your laptop, you might log on to the zoom on your phone and prop it up somewhere on your desk so that you don’t have to hide the zoom window on your computer. Plus it takes away the temptation to look at the phone which is like a nervous tick for me!
So far we’ve mostly done weekday mornings for the Magic Writing Hour but I am very aware that people with different schedules and those in different timezones weren’t getting an opportunity to take part. So this week, I am going to run two Magic Writing Hours, one on Friday morning and one on Sunday evening. Invites to both zooms are below, come to one, both or none whatever you like!
A little reminder that we can use the hour however we want, it’s really just about using it for ourselves, know what I mean!? A couple of weeks ago, I did some of my paint-by-numbers kit which was SO relaxing. But come draw, write, paint, read – anything you like.
