Funny how the hader you work and the more you surround yourself with the right people who truly believe in you and your hard work, the luckier you get Sophie!this is not a happy accident or a culmination of random fortunate events. This is where you are meant to be because you work SO hard and you are SO talented. Enjoy it. And the kid cuddles will never feel as amazing as they do on day 13,it will be the best glimmer of all.to hold.

I completely relate to the fixating on rejection and failing to dwell on successes. I like to think this is a symptom of being a nice person who doesn’t think they are the master of the universe but it’s probably (for me) a symptom of not being able to turn off the critic. And sometimes I really really wish the critic would shut the f@&k up.
Hahahah I know what you mean re the master of the universe syndrome Yikes! Well I really hope you are getting glimmers yourself in the year of publishing your DEBUT!!! And working on the sophomore novel . Also i do think I am getting *somewhat* better at turning down the volume of the critic now...
